| How does the Executive Coaching process actually work? |
The Executive Coaching process begins with the initial session. During this session, the Coach and the Coachee discuss expectations and review the Coaching Agreement, which is provided by the Executive Coach Institute. Together, they will review data and conduct a needs analysis and fact-finding session. (Often information from a 360º, performance appraisals, and other data assist in the development of the coaching session.) They will also review the summary of session topics and jointly prioritize coaching topics. The meeting dates will be set and paperwork completed. After the initial session, the general sessions follow. The overall goal for each session, based upon information identified in the fact-finding session, is determined. Coaching models are reviewed and discussed at each session. The models build upon each other & interface to provide a solid grounding in management & executive skills. The frequency of future meetings should be consistent with sessions ordinarily held monthly. The session length tends to be from one to two hours and they are either held by teleconference or face-to-face. |
